Researchers published the findings in The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and asserted that EMS training increased muscle strength and power in rugby players. They divided the participants into two groups: the test group and the control group. Over 12 weeks, the researchers observed and tested the participants from both groups. The study concluded that participants who trained with the EMS technology demonstrated beneficial effects on muscle strength and power, even though rugby-specific skills did not improve during the 12 weeks.
